Sulli’s older brother, referred to as Mr. A, issued a statement to the press on the 28th, saying, "We have spent the past six years in deep sorrow and tears, but we are also deeply grateful for the support and concern from many people."

He continued, "We cannot ignore the passing of Kim Sae-ron and pretend it is not our concern. We extend our deepest condolences to Kim Sae-ron’s family."

Mr. A called on Kim Soo-hyun and Lee Sa-rang to share their perspectives.

He raised several concerns, stating, "At the funeral, I heard from staff and actors that the intimate scene between Sulli and Kim Soo-hyun was not originally included in the script. I would like to know Kim Soo-hyun’s stance on this matter." He also pointed out that there was a body double for Sulli’s undressing scenes and questioned why they chose to persuade Sulli to perform the intimate and nude scenes herself instead of using the double. Lastly, he asked for Kim Soo-hyun and Lee Sa-rang’s response regarding the fact that the body double was reportedly unavailable on the shooting day, yet someone who witnessed the funeral contradicted this.

Mr. A emphasized, "Additionally, I have heard many things from Sulli’s funeral, but I only have three fact-based questions that I would like answered, and I hope you will respond sincerely."

He also revealed that he recently sent a letter to the Korean Artists Prevention Association 44, hoping that Kim Sae-ron’s family would publicly disclose the truth and receive a sincere apology. However, he was disappointed to see a YouTuber named Lee Jin-ho deny these claims and attack Kim Sae-ron’s family. He expressed his hope that the family could find some space to breathe.

Mr. A further conveyed that if Kim Sae-ron’s family wished, he was willing to meet and share in their grief.

Kwon Young-chan, the director of the Korean Artists Prevention Association 44, stated, "Although belated, I extend my deepest condolences to the family of the late actress Sulli, and I hope that Kim Sae-ron’s family will no longer be subjected to insults or harassment from malicious comments."

Real is a 2017 film starring Sulli and Kim Soo-hyun. Director Lee Sa-rang is also the co-founder of Kim Soo-hyun’s current agency, Gold Medalist. Sulli performed several bold scenes in the movie.

According to Sulli’s family, after filming Real, she reportedly told people, "I never want to act in a movie again," and later sought psychiatric treatment due to mental distress.
