The news of the passing of Kim Jong Seok, known as a model for the men’s cosmetics brand DASHU, has been reported.

On June 5, an acquaintance of Kim Jong Seok, referred to as A, shared the news of his passing through their social media account. A wrote, “When I heard yesterday that you had left us, my heart shattered into pieces,” and added in a lengthy tribute, “Kim Jong Seok, I’ll always miss you. And I’ll always love you.”

Another acquaintance, B, also posted a photo of a condolence wreath and details of the funeral arrangements, expressing, “It’s still unbelievable. May you rest peacefully without pain where you are.”

Kim Jong Seok reportedly passed away on June 4 at the age of 29. The cause of death has not been revealed. The funeral was held on the morning of June 6 at 8 a.m. at the Maru Park Funeral Home in Hanam City.

After his sudden death, his family has spoken out directly against the malicious rumors surrounding his death. His older sister made an emotional plea, asking the public to stop spreading baseless speculation.

On June 6, Kim Jong Seok’s sister took to social media, stating, “We are currently in the middle of the funeral process in a state of shock. However, false information is recklessly spreading across online communities.”

She continued, “I didn’t respond initially because I wanted to let Jong Seok rest in peace, but I can’t stay silent any longer,” and announced that they will be reporting malicious posts to the cyber investigation unit.

Regarding certain articles, she revealed, “Some reports contain false information, so I’ve requested their removal. We are planning to release police transcripts and testimonies from friends who were with him at the time.” The family is preparing evidence to take direct action.

Kim Jong Seok was active as a beauty and fashion model. He gained public attention through a commercial for the men’s cosmetics brand DASHU and also appeared on the 2022 tvN variety show “Skip.”
