Actor Huang Zhengjie Passes Away at 31

The family of actor Huang Zhengjie has confirmed his passing at the age of 31. He rose to fame after appearing on the popular variety show Kangxi Is Coming and was beloved by many viewers.

On April 20, China Times reported that Huang Zhengjie had died at the age of 31. His sister confirmed the heartbreaking news through a post on social media. “Even now, it’s hard to believe this has really happened. Our family is overwhelmed with grief and sorrow,” she wrote. She also shared that Huang Zhengjie’s funeral will be held on the morning of May 3, and invited fans who loved him to come say their final goodbyes and pay their respects.

News of Huang Zhengjie’s sudden death shocked and saddened many fans. Just three days prior, he had appeared healthy and cheerful in a social media video dancing with a friend. Many netizens left heartfelt comments mourning his loss and offering condolences to his family.

Born in 1993, Huang entered the entertainment industry at the age of 15. His popularity soared after joining Kangxi Is Coming, where his good looks, cheerful personality, and sense of humor earned him widespread admiration.

In addition to acting, Huang was active on social media, regularly creating online video content. He also performed in theatrical productions and traveled to mainland China to take part in idol talent competitions. At one point, he revealed that to make ends meet, he took on various jobs including signboard holder, hair stylist, toilet paper vendor, supermarket staff, and milk delivery man.

He once admitted that his mother had tried to persuade him to leave the entertainment world. “My mom didn’t support me entering showbiz. It wasn’t until she saw me on TV that she and my sister finally shared how they felt. Now, they’re both really proud of me,” he said.
