Shock: Famous Male Singer Causes Chaos as Police Arrest Him in Public
A video capturing the moment the singer was apprehended by police is going viral on social media.
On March 25, On News reported that singer Zhou Yongheng was arrested by the police. Footage recorded by bystanders shows multiple officers restraining and pinning him to the ground on a busy street, with the video spreading rapidly across the internet.
According to Hong Kong media, Zhou Yongheng was arrested for illegally riding a self-balancing electric scooter on the sidewalk and displaying a defiant attitude. Even after being detained, he continued to resist, struggling to escape and shouting: "I didn’t hit anyone! You have no right to arrest me!"
On News noted that this was not the first time Zhou Yongheng had violated traffic laws. Despite multiple warnings from the police, he repeatedly disregarded the regulations. As a result, authorities were forced to take stricter action. According to Hong Kong law, anyone operating an unregistered electric vehicle on the road, sidewalk, or bicycle lane can face a fine of up to HKD 10,000 and up to one year in prison.
On social media, Zhou Yongheng’s arrest has sparked heated discussions. Many netizens lamented that he once had a bright future, but his reckless lifestyle ultimately led him to disgrace. In the early 2000s, Zhou Yongheng was regarded as a musical genius in Hong Kong’s entertainment industry.
However, his fame was short-lived. He was soon arrested for drug use, vandalizing public property, and threatening to assault others, receiving an 18-month probation sentence. From then on, his reputation spiraled downward.
Once a promising artist, Zhou Yongheng destroyed his own future due to his reckless lifestyle and descent into drug addiction.
In 2014, his wife, singer Zhao Songru, accused him of infidelity, engaging in debauchery with multiple young women, and subjecting her to brutal domestic violence. Unable to endure her "nightmarish" life with him, she filed for divorce. However, she was not his only victim—he also physically assaulted two of his former girlfriends, models Ruby and Cherie, as well as his second wife, Britini. In 2019, Zhou Yongheng was once again taken to the police station for assaulting someone while intoxicated.
Following a series of scandals, Zhou Yongheng was completely ostracized from Hong Kong’s entertainment industry. With no career in showbiz, he resorted to working as a food delivery driver to make ends meet. However, before long, he was arrested once again—this time for violating traffic laws.
