On May 9, 2025, Gold Medalist, Kim Soo-hyun‘s agency, and his legal representatives from LKB & Partners law firm announced the action.

They filed complaints against Garo Sero Institute’s operator Kim Se-ui for violations of the Information and Communication Network Act (defamation) and the Act on the Punishment of Stalking Crimes. Additionally, they filed complaints against the family of the late actress Kim Sae-ron for defamation under the same law.

LKB & Partners criticized the claims made by Kim Se-ui during a May 7 press conference, stating that his statements were “completely false” and a “complete lie.” Kim Se-ui had previously alleged that Kim Soo-hyun and the late Kim Sae-ron had been in a romantic relationship since middle school and made other baseless claims, including fabricated recordings and photos.

The legal team further emphasized that Kim Se-ui’s actions were more severe than his previous offenses, leading Gold Medalist and Kim Soo-hyun to swiftly take legal action to ensure the perpetrators are held accountable.

Statement on the Additional Lawsuits:
