According to a Channel A investigation, police have confirmed Son Heung Min‘s ex-girlfriend, who is accused of using a fake pregnancy to blackmail the football star, had an abortion.

Known only as “Yang,” Son’s former girlfriend appeared at court today to undergo an arrest warrant hearing alongside her current boyfriend, a man in his 40s also accused of attempted extortion by demanding more money from Son.

Not much is known about Yang, other than that she is known to work in the modelling industry. In June 2024, she allegedly contacted Son’s representatives, claiming she was pregnant, showing what was believed to be a fabricated ultrasound image.

However, Channel A claims the police have confirmed she did undergo the procedure through medical records. The ultrasound image is said to be hers. However, it has not been confirmed whether the child was Son Heung Min’s.

After undergoing an hour-long arrest warrant review, the woman denied the blackmail allegations when approached by reporters. When asked, “Do you admit to the charges?” she remained silent, but when asked, “Did you conspire to blackmail him?” she denied it.

Meanwhile, the accused “accomplice” came out of the court looking remorseful. When asked, “Do you have anything to say to Son Heung Min?” he apologised, “I’m sorry.”

Channel A also reports that police are continuing their investigation under the belief that if threats were made in an attempt to extort money, the crime stands regardless of whether the woman was actually pregnant with Son Heung Min’s child.
